I know teams have to fundraise, but not a big fan of panhandling...run a carwash or something that take a little effort. If you want to just solicit donations do a raffle.

I think I saw these same kids yesterday and thought exactly the same thing!!!! Was this in Gwinnett County?
I saw this immediately after stroking a check for $950 for DD's travel team this fall. Um, no, I'm not going to donate to pay for some other kid. Do a car wash or a bake sale and I'll consider it.
That can't be really happening??
Up to 10U just get permission to stand in front of a Walmart/Costco/grocery store and put them out there in shifts for 6-8 hours in their uniform with a batting helmet for donations. $1000 minimum right there.
Once they get past 10U they just aren't as adorable - so we do the poker night thing.. more work but always brings in a few thousand and we are done.
