Hello all,
First time poster, long time lurker!
Thank you to everyone that posts on these boards that keeps the community active, engaged and educated.
I am a newcomer to the fast pitch world, and this community has been absolutely invaluable in helping dd and I navigate these waters.
That being said... Last summer, I was looking at bats and purchased a Miken Freak Black (dd was swinging a Xeno at the time).
What a bat! It's all that and a bag of chips! Most importantly my daughter is in love with it and loves the way it feels. The fact that it's pretty unique among the wave of LS, Demar's and Eastons didn't hurt either.
So I find out through here, that they were being discontinued. I have searched high and low and in all the cracks and crevices for Freak Blacks for sale and have all but given up. Smarter folks picked them up earlier and are holding onto them or the odd for sale is pretty badly beat up.
So that being said, I've read that the Rawlings quatro is the spiritual successor of the 2legit and I think that's the direction that we're leaning in...
Does anyone have any experience with the Quatro? Is the weight true or does it run heavy a la Xeno? Balanced , end loaded?
Sorry for the long post!
But any advice would be greatly appreciated! Or if you know of a secret stash of Freak Blacks somewhere - please let me know!
Best,
Cheeze
