Tori Finucane also left Missouri and is heading to Minnesota. Gophers FINALLY have another big time pitcher to complement Sara G.

Great duo for 1 year and then they're both done. They also have 4 incoming freshmen with pitching experience, however they won't get many innings to prepare for the year after.

Minnie also announced Allie Arneson (SS) is transferring in from VA - GOPHERSPORTS.COM Gophers Add Finucane, Arneson :: University of Minnesota Official Athletic Site :: Softball.

Well that's PERFECT. I want my Gophers to be great for one more year. After that, they become the enemy. Until after dd graduates. :)
Olaf obviously isn't a true Gopher fan. There shouldn't be much of a conflict since Minnie and North Dakota (jk) are in different conferences and Minnie plays a weak non-conference schedule. True Gopher fans would keep rooting for the rodents as long as there wasn't a direct conflict of interests.

Florida still has 3 pitchers who are miles better than Lowary (and Paige Parker, sans the "miles"), I would bet huge $$ on them.

I absolutely love Florida, and I hope you are right about the National Championship. I also agree that their pitching staff will again be tops in the nation. But they just graduated a GREAT senior class. Brooke Henderson has big cleats to fill following Munro. Then the middle of the infield and top of the line-up is going yo greatly miss Kelsey Stewart. And Gibran Kirtsti Merritt gone from centerfield and her bat. Plus Taylore Fuller and Taylor Schwarz. My guess is the beginning of the season will see a few loses, unlike the past 2 seasons, but hopefully by mid April the new players will have come along, and they will make a run at the postseason.

Defensively, they definitely lose a lot of talent, but of their 9 players with 100+ ABs, the worst 3 were seniors (Stewart, Munro, Fuller), and Schwarz was even worse than those 3 (only 66 ABs). Janell Wheaton had a solid year and can hopefully play a decent catcher if necessary. It's pretty tough to start 26-0 or whatever no matter how good you are, but there's basically 0 chance they don't make the postseason.

Look at the defensive setup when Lowery throws to right handed batters.
