DD is playing 18U rec., she has pitched and warmed up, a total of 10 minutes in the last year. I am not sure she has throw a Strike in any of those 10 minutes.

Why she raised her hand saying she was a pitcher without practicing is beyond me.

1st game is Wednesday, not looking forward to it.

Apparently she is 1 of our 2 pitchers.

IMO - TB/HS is where you ask "Who here is a pitcher?"

Rec allows you to ask the question "Who here wants to pitch?"

18U rec (assuming a smaller pool of players, maybe 2-4 teams max?) may force you to ask "Can anyone here pitch?"

I know what you are saying, I would quess we are playing 9 different Teams.

I think 3 or 4 of our players can hit it over the fence, 1 for sure will.

Just wished she would practice pitching, she knows she is in trouble. It is on her though so she is annoyed with me right now.

My DD is a catcher, who did pitch when we were still coaching Rec ball (she did it then, because no one else could). Fast forward to the HS season, and the JV pitcher gets the flu. DD says, "I can Pitch"! Well, Long story short, she got her first (only?) HS win in the first game she has pitched in 4 years. Oh, it was Ugly, 12-11.. She did have 2 K's and 7 BB. All in all, I do not know how a pitchers dad does it. (But it will always be a wild pitch, never a passed ball when I have the book) ;)

I would actually call that pretty darn good for not pitching in 4 years. 1 walk per inning is knocking the rust off pretty fast.
