Default What is a College Futures ID camp?

I'm not very familiar with the recruiting process, so I don't know all the names for things. Can someone tell me what kind of camp this is? Thx!

Not sure if this is what Cecelia had in mind but here is an NFCA futures camp from last year. I don't know anything about it but I can't imagine that it's a prime recruiting camp. Seems a bit more of a "basic skills" camp to me. I don't associate "futures" with recruiting. Usually camps geared towards recruiting are called "prospect camp" or "elite camp" or something like that. In any event, here's the NFCA futures camp link I referenced earlier:

Let me take a stab at this:

This is a showcase event based on the typical premise that if you attend and for low, low, additional price equal to 25% if a years tuition at a state school you get the following:

    1) Exposure to the top coaches in the country that are/may be/were invited to attend
    2) A professional evaluation of your playing skills by top coaches in the country
    3) Entry into our exclusive database used by the top coaches in the country
    4) Your own recruiting website to be seen by top coaches in the country
    5) Access to contact information for the top coaches in the country
    6) A professionally made video, designed by top coaches in the country of which you can purchase additional copies for only $25 each.

Who are these top coaches in the country? We can't tell you because they have asked us not to since they only want truly interested recruits. And this avoids them receiving mass emails.

Oh, look one your dream schools is viewing your profile right now!!! Upgrade to the Premier Membership for only $49.95 per month to find out who is interested in you!!!

Did anyone ever get a definitive answer on this? One of the local universities is running an "ID Clinic" next month and I'm wondering if this should be considered a prospect camp or just an instructional clinic type of event.

"ID", as in "The Head Coach has an ID how to make some extra money with very little work."
