Does anyone have any suggestions or outside the box ideas on how to find practice facilities in the wintertime. Finding a gym anywhere is almost impossible because of fall and winter basketball.

Thanks!!!

Several TB teams in our area are renting out space or part of the space in buildings that used to house grocery stores that have closed. Although they can't hit pop-ups or play a game, it's usually big enough to hold several "tunnels" and still be able to have room for a full infield practice. Just a suggestion.

We work out in a former warehouse, now closed. Unfortunately (economically), there are a lot of such spaces available and many have big open spaces (or with poles to work around) for infields and receiving bays that make for great hitting tunnels. If you can pay the rent for the people who own these buildings for a few months they'll love you.

Our organization's travel teams also rent a vacant warehouse space for a few months. Expense will vary depending on where you live but if you have several teams sharing the space it could be cheaper then renting time at an indoor baseball/softball facility. Try to find area hitting & pitching coaches who want to rent some time from you to offset some of the cost.

For the older girls, Wednesday is usually available because the younger one are in religion class so teams don't schedule basketball practice Wednesday night.
