What to do when all the hitters move to the front of the box

DD is 13 and doesn't have a ton of speed so she relies on her drop and change up. Last night she played a team she's pitched against more than once this year. Coach had all his players move to the front of the box and kept yelling, she's slower move to front the front of the box. She did not get hit very hard but didn't have one of her best nights. DD said ump wasn't giving the corners.

How do you approach pitch calling and pitch location in a situation like this?

The hitters are making an adjustment so the pitcher needs to make an adjustment. If she can she needs to bring the heat when they move up to the front of the box.

The other alternative is to throw it slower...

Yes, I would agree...one option is to throw it slower, change speeds, move the drop around. If you can get your DD to throw that drop at her "normal" speed, throw it off-speed, and then have a change she can do some damage no matter where they stand in the box.

Her adjustment to this needs to be high and inside heat, along with a steady yet unpredictable dose of off speeds and change ups.
I'm guessing she was probably throwing mid 40's peel drops at the knees???
By staying in the front of the box the batter is attempting to catch the ball before it breaks. If she doesn't have a rise ball yet, at least fake it for now and stay up in the zone. If the batter adjusts and takes a more neutral stance, then that's your cue to come back with a low and slow peel drop.

You guessed right, she throws mid 40's peel drops at the knees. We have started working on the rise but she won't be ready to throw it until next year.

Throwing the normal drop, off-speed and change up is her usual game plan. Glad we are on the right track. Thank you.
She didn't have her best stuff last night and is still learning the mental part of the game. She got frustrated with pitching rubber because it wasn't aligned correctly with home plate.
