Small 12YO DD uses a 12.5” Akadema, she mostly plays P/IF but I would classify her as a utility player. Some people (sight unseen) think she should use a 12” but the 12.5” seems to suit her. I meant to compare its size this weekend to some other glove brands but forgot, maybe the Akadema run a little small.

18U - Vinci JCV-22 catcher's mitt, Rawlings HOH 12" fielder's glove (RF)
12U - Nokona Buffalo Combo catcher's mitt, Rawlings HOH 12" fielder's glove (3B)

Can't beat the Rawlings Heart of the Hide for quality vs. price, IMO. My 18U DD has been using hers for almost four years now and it still looks new.

Maybe all the gloves mentioned require some break-in time, you are better off pulling the trigger sooner rather than later to have the glove game ready by the time the season starts.

DD a pitcher, and plays the OF when not in the circle. She is 11 YO and uses a Nokona 12.5. She liked it because it was really light. Little bit of a bear to break in, but now she loves it.

Frozen rope, what model? Buckaroo?

Agree with Marriad that the AJB74 plays a little smaller than the advertised size.

'01 DD uses a 12" Mizuno MVP. Doesn't require a lot of break in and is definitely a step up from the Franchise line. Bought it new for $50 on closeout. It is two years old and still in great shape. She always keeps a ball in it. She plays catcher too, so probably about a years worth of actual use.

I personally wouldn't go bigger than a 12" glove for infield.

Just bought a 13" Mizuno Classic like new off the bay for $28 for me! They are definitely stiffer than the MVP.

It's a Marquise. It's a discontinued line. Although advertised as a 12.5...it also plays more like a 12"
