Cats claw change up... aka knuckleball
i didnt know she had a knuckleball? and when i read something about the "new Zealand riseball" i thought it had a knuckle grip? does she definitely throw a knuckleball???
That particular grip is designed to eliminate the ball rolling off the pads of your fingers, thus taking away rotation. No snap or rotation, will cause a dancing affect on a slow pitch. In layman's terms a "fall off the table" change up...

Does anyone know where her index finger is on this pitch?

Could be a change-up. That is the grip my DD used for her change. The pitcher has to have larger hands to use it.

Could be a variation of another pitch such as a curve, the knuckles will kill some of the speed. Without seeing a release there is no telling.
Good question, if her index finger is positioned like the others then she is definitely trying to throw a knuckleball. If not she might be trying something else.
