What I learned at 12u practice today.

I took lots of pride in being able to outrun my entire 14U all star team (home to home) two years ago...I was out there almost ever day and was staying in pretty good shape would not even think about trying it now I'm older and slower and the girls are bigger and faster.

I'm 54 and, at least as of last year, I could still beat both of my DDs. I should add, however, that I used to run track and I've run a marathon within the past few years. With that said, somehow I think both my DDs are going to smoke me this Spring.

Wow. You guys are getting outran by girls!!!!!! lol Just kidding, me too. 14 u girls are surprisingly fast.

2 years ago, I challenged my 17 yr old to a sprint during HS indoor practice. I beat her easily and talked smack the whole way. Like Retired Coach, I am a former track athlete.

The problem was she was ready to go again in about 20 seconds. My recovery time was measured in days.
