I pretty sure all those girls could already hit, But would love to see your before and after. Its not that hard to show your interaction with young players, https://mann.smugmug.com/Other/Ashlyn/i-rMcrd2G/0/O/ashspeedyae.gif https://mann.smugmug.com/Other/Bagdrill/i-fxWtnHt/0/X2/IMG_9563small-X2.jpg

That said, i am glad they have a passionate hitting coach.

Are you returning to help them this year?

Mann, you would be incorrect with what you are "pretty sure" about. It's a young group. We had pitchers pitch live to them early on. It wasn't pretty. Maybe our pitchers were lights out.

In any event, I'm genuinely pleased that your work on the pivot point is productive for you.

So Cal
She's using the core in the swing taken 20min after the work on the pivot point. Perhaps we can credit the work on the pivot point to that as well.

I'm not sure what your point is with this comment.

It seems likely to me that the pivot point work helped improve her swing when layered with her existing pattern, which already includes the core movements we see in the clip.

There was significant improvement between the demo and the front-toss swing in terms of core usage ... despite Mann's comment of "now lets work on the core."

As I understand it, the drill in the demo wasn't about core usage. The focus was on a different component of the swing that mann was trying to get his student to understand/feel.

Apparently the drill addressed several issues.

Would love to hear what you guys think? She's 9, and we were at the cages trying a little heavier bat. This is a 31/20 CF8. She swings a 30/18 Vendetta now usually.
