Ive learned I apparently have more disposable income than I ever knew.

Ive learned sucess in life is to be evaluated based on experiences you treasure, with people you love. Not $, and certainly not "sucess" at a 9-5 job.

That as much as i want it for them, if they don't want it, then it's time to save their parents some money and cut them.

I've learned i have to rotate my tires more often on my Tahoe and i have learned how good an ice cold beer tastes after standing in 99 degree heat for 8 hours!
All kidding aside, i've learned that as a coach, i am a role model and mentor. I have become a better person for that.

I agree with all mentioned so far

I've also learned.......

That my 13 yo daughter can handle bad weather a lot better than my wife and I can.

Sitting in a lawn chair for 12 hours a day is exhausting.

A cooler lunch always tastes better than fast food.

Once you have found a good coach, stay with him/her.

Playing in 70+ games/year, from freezing cold hail storms to heat waves, playing through injuries and spending most summer weekends away from her best friends.... and can't wait to get back to the diamond the next day, my dd really loves this sport.
