Well, I'm not a new softball Mom, but I'm new to this Forum. DD is 11 (12 next month) and playing in her second year of 12U. Has played rec since t-ball days and come up through the ranks. Her park doesn't have travel, but she did Select/All-Star for the past two springs and summers. Tried out for one travel team last year which actually did not come together due to lack of pitchers. Decided to try again this year. Just made a low A/high B team last weekend. She is thrilled beyond belief.
I just found this Forum because I was hoping to get a little feedback on her swing (posted in Batting Technical Section). I'm hoping it's OK to join the group here too and kvetch about the ups and downs of softball!
