Lockinging elbow and pushing during full motion

Has anyone tried using an elbow pad on the throwing arm as an aid to keep from locking the elbow out? Any thoughts?

No, but I have suspended a tarp from above as a physical cue.

Will have to give that a shot. Already have one tarp hanging on the porch, might as well suspend another one. My wife will be happy!

Live pitching to some batters earlier this week. Elbow starting to loosen up and whip, but still not quite there. I keep waiting for that aha moment.
