Since we are all fastpitch junkies there is no sense in asking if any one watched game 2 of the NPF championship yesterday, right? During the game there was a commercial for a new Jennie Finch dvd, "Pitcher Perfect". I tried to find the commercial online and can't. But there is a dvd on her site that is comeing soon.
Anyway. If I understand the commercial right it brags about the mechanics being backed up by medical proof that they are the "safest way to learn pitching".
Now my point. During th commercial I noticed Jennie pitch and finish with her hand curled up just above her throwing shoulder. Surely, I didn't see that. Then the next shot is even closer of her finishing with, no way, her elbow pointing toward the catcher. I couldn't believe my eyes. Had to rewind and watch it a few times. Surely Jennie wasn't showing the catcher her elbow on a dvd that is backed up by medical proof as the safest way to pitch.
Somebody tell me I was seeing things. Or maybe in the dvd they are also showing how not too do it. I am wrong, aren't I?
