Is this turning the barell?

In this PHOTO, I know not a video, but I want to show you where I think the true torque begins.

I do not think the acceleration is even throughout the swing.
In this Posey gif, between the pauses represent where I believe the greatest torque exists.

Whereas Posey is fighting to keep the barrel up, and staying well connected before that.

Posey is not pushing or apply more torque into the ball.
Posey is 'whipping' the barrel into the ball.

Posey launches his swing and directs the barrel to the ball but, does not apply any more speed nor torque to the barrel.

Maybe I do not know what you mean by Pushing?

I thought pushing was when you pushed your arms out straight.

I feel like I am turning the barrel not pushing. I am using hands to really pivot the bat.

Maybe it looks that way, because there is a heavy bag in the way.

My grip is loose, so the bat would continue to extension, power V, if it was not for the bag.

This should have/would have been your bat/barrel path if not for the 'push'.

You turn the barrel with your shoulders then push to contact/bag. If you turn the barrel with the shoulders only and not the hands how else could you reach the bag. You must push the barrel to the bag.
'Turn the barrel' with your hands.

I am using hands to really pivot the bat.

Pivot/push into the bag.
Try taking a swing into the bat.

Yes,if you don't turn your hands. You would have push them(arms) out straight but, the bag was in the way.

because this drill, that you do not like, fixed her bat drag, and gave her a very short fast swing.

But, if you have something better, I am game, for sure.
