Is it softball or fastpitch?

It was interesting to see what DD #1's HS called the game. She attends Memorial HS in Madison, and played on the freshman team before quitting the game. The bumper stickers on our cars say "Memorial Softball". Her sweatshirt says "Memorial Fastpitch".

I guess that decides the issue!

I've never heard anyone around here think of youth softball as anything other than fastpitch, so it's pretty clear when people talk about their daughters playing softball that it's fastpitch. When anyone talks about adult softball, it's assumed to be slowpitch.
