Most teachers are good people in the end.
DD 1 is taking AP physics now, and her teacher's DD used to play on a TB team with DD 1.

DD 1 no longer plays softball, but at least we know this teacher isn't anti-softball

We ran into problems like this with a teacher last year when my daughter was in 7th grade. She had a huge problem with my straight A student missing so much class time, even though she maintained her straight A grades through the season. Eventually the coach had to contact the principal for some of the girls.
