Long time lurker - my dd is 10 and has been pitching for over a year now. She was taught the HE form of pitching and for her age was doing well - not that I could compare her to much since I am just a mom who didn't pitch or play, however, her coach was very excited about how well she was progressing. Then her pitching coach got prego and had a baby - she didn't want me to take my dd to anyone else since she was doing so good so I was practicing with dd just "parroting" everything I would hear when I would catch for her during lessons. Fast forward 8 weeks the pc was gone and obviously dd starting doing things differently - the main thing is that she twists her wrist on release instead of "flipping" it which is driving her pc insane. I have been doing a lot of reading on this board about IR. I can't say I understand much of it and wouldn't feel comfortable trying to move dd to this type of technique on my own however I truly feel that dd needs a method that is more natural vs forced and the flip is just not working for her.
So finally my question, lol. How do I find a pitching coach who would teach her IR? Her current pc is moving and has already started to distance herself from us so I am ready to make a move now. Frankly I am not even really sure where to start to find pitching coaches in the area where I live (KS side suburb of KC). I have looked at the local training facilities and see they do have instructors - but where else can I look to find a coach, especially one that teaches IR?
I took some video at her last game - I will try and get it uploaded for all to give thoughts.
