DGDs team picked up a girl last fall who had just moved down from VA. She is 5'10", 130lbs and one of the sweetest girls you would ever want to meet. To say she had a rough time at the plate would be nice, she batted .207 and never hit the ball really hard. During the fall the coaches worked with her and then after volleyball season, my son hooked her up with DGD's personal coach. She has really worked hard the last two months. Well, at the tournament this weekend, the work showed. She hit .583 for the tournament and every ball, even the outs, were hit hard. She hit a hr over the fence in cf that was a line shot. I know it was not the best competition, but still a great showing for her. After the tournament I congratulated her and she told me she was glad she could help the team finally. Made my day.
