For the pitching coaches: setting some guidelines for innings pitched during week

As a father and PC the above would have been too conservative and I would have just laughed at them...............a year ago. But after letting her travel team ride her too much too often and getting a tear in the rotator cuff I look at innings, games, pitch counts very different.

I do agree the above guidelines may be off by a margin. But I feel guilty I pushed mine to keep pitching for the good of the team and the drive to win, when I should have just said " she's had enough ".

Mine has fully recovered, but we lost a year in the process.

I do not believe a set number on pitch counts is the answer. Fatigue causes lapses in mechanics. Fatigue can happen at any time. Most pitchers on tt play other positions. They may only throw 200 balls in 2 games a weekend but, play other positions and bat. 100 the 1st game and a 100 the 6th game. I think it more about total games played.
