I might also add if you ever tried to catch a true rise ball, you would come to believe that it truly rises whether it does or not.

I have caught 10's of thousands of them. And yes, they look like they rise. A REAL good one looks like it hops a little. What I do know is all the ball is doing is being is a different place than my brain expects it to be. Even after the thousands of them I would get fooled occasionally. It was embarrassing.
