I had the same issue with DD on her hitting. I used to be able to tell her what she was doing wrong and we would move on. Now she is
stubborn and I'm pretty much only allowed to give advice when asked which I guess is the way it should be as they get older.

At least you made it to 14, says the dad of an 11 year old. :)

Her pc is extremely positive, all the time. Her coaches are way more positive than I would expect. Leaves mostly me to be the critical one. While it sometimes sucks to be the only one pointing things out, I don't believe it is good for her development to only focus on the positive. I always try to use the poop sandwich ,as was mentioned earlier, but sometimes what dd hears is just poop. :p

DD's last game she went a complete five innings with no runs and 12k's. Maybe not the best team in the world, but we only won 5-0 so they could not be that bad? Big hole in front of the rubber and I did not think dd was really using the hole to aggressively drive out of. I waited a few days AFTER the game to mention it and I could see the look on her face was like DUDE, nobody got past 2nd...At the next pitching practice she worked on really shifting her weight forward, over the hole and in front of the rubber to set her sprinter's lean. Lo and behold her velocity went up and she could feel the difference. I look forward to when it is somebody else that is giving her the poop sandwich and I can just cheer. :)

I got a 30yr. old DD with 3 DGK's...That never played a single game.... If my 14yr old don't want to play DaddyBall with me, she can start baby setting for her sister...
