Yes i can see the back leg is doing all the work causing hip rotation in those drills
Not what he asked. I answered the question that was asked. I found your suggestion very helpfully also. You also have a nice day
P.S. 2 of my favs. Is this what you were looking for? Also, this is why I myself ask a question of the poster for clarification of his request.
The "NoonTime Experience" (registered and trademarked absolutely nowhere) (aka David Wright Drill aka Allan Craig Drill)
allows you to feel what it is like to launch from this position. Learn to launch from there, then apply whatever handset suits your style, whatever front leg action suits your style, whatever follow through suits your style around that.
rdbass,
You keep posting the above but your links are broken. For those interested in the drill here is a link to BBF that can act as a starting point. Doc Yeager/ IsoBaseball Videos - Page 9
I like the walk up drill and face the fire drill, both give good feel for pushing off the back leg.
Another drill I’ve had success with, is what I call the stork drill.
Take your batting stance, bring your front ankle to your back ankle very short pause then push with your back leg into the swing (rotation). Then take you front ankle to your thigh pause then swing, Then take you front ankle to you back knee (look like a stork) pause then swing. Then take your front foot tap on the ground in front of the back foot (old baseball drill) then swing. I do it on command; stance, back, stride and swing
Do each drill a few times to get the feel of pushing off with the back leg.
I also have them swing and bring the back knee through past the front knee pointing at the pitcher and pause, you can also combine this along with the first part of the drill.
