Just got a new 33/22 -11 LXT plus in and it has the loudest tink/clank I've ever heard. I have experience with this bat and it doesn't appear to have a rattle or vibration when hitting the ball. A couple of girls on her team have 32/22 but they do not make the same sound. Its hard to describe so I put a video on youtube https://youtu.be/TGoskwbtokU please take a look and let me know if it sounds ok or if I need to contact LS. That is most likely not normal...I've never seen an LXT make that much noise with so little effort. I mean, they all do make noise, but that sounds like it might be broken.
Unless they have changed their design and I don't know about it (which is quite possible), LS uses a disc system as governors to limit the outer shell flex so it can't exceed the ball exit speeds and the rest of the limits put on bats by the NCAA and the other ABC organizations. It sounds as if possibly one end either isn't attached or broke during shipping and that the sound you are experiencing is the governor actually hitting the inside of the bat. I would contact LS, get an RMA and ship it back to them for at least an inspection. Being a few days old, it also shouldn't count against the one warranty bat during the 1 year warranty period.
I wonder if the -11 makes a different sound than the -10 version??? It would also help if you had some video of your DD hitting some soft toss with it so we can hear the sound it makes when hitting a ball. I do know that the original Xenos had much more distinct "breaking glass" sound vs. later versions, so maybe LS is trying to go back to that sound.
When you call LS make sure that the replacement bat is not considered your warranty replacement.
Composite layering is different than the last few years with LS fp bats.
