USSSA World Series (Orlando)

Just curious if anyone on here has a team playing in Orlando 7/12 - 7/19. There are a number of teams signed up from out of state. DD team is only about an hour away but this will be our first time there so looking forward to it. Our team will be playing 10UB.

Tip: Team needs a wagon or two because it's a long haul from parking lot to the fields.

Tip: Get there EARLY for opening ceremonies (parking lot gets full fast).

We'll be there for the 13U (Cals Angels)

just seems the Orlando tourney has lost its flash. most florida teams that i know are heading to alabama, p-cola or myrtle beach.

Thanks for the tips. The Opening round Ceremonies are actually being held on Wednesday evening this year instead of Sunday, so that should be interesting.

Defiant, I'm in Tampa and it seems about 50/50 as far as teams going to Orlando or the other places you mentioned. Alot of the older teams seem to be going to those places but I'm assuming most have already experienced Orlando.

we finished second in the 14A event two years ago...had a wonderful time there and the facilities are top notch and second to none....the kids liked the intra televised games and being interviewed by the park TV crews....the condos we rented near the parks were awesome! but....that parking lot is a really, really long ways away from the fields....also a tournament pass is like $80 per person I think....but a great time there for sure....

Take at least twice as much water as you think you will need, maybe even three times as much. Water at the fields is quite expensive.

At ESPN WWOS there is an equipment drop where you and all your gear will be transported via a flatbed golf cart to an area very close to where you are playing.

I rode them for 3 days straight 2 weekends ago at Diamond 9. But to your point you need to know where they pick up and drop off.
