What is the best, easiest and cheapest softball score keeping software? Tired of all the manual trackings and I have a terrific team parent willing to do it on my iPad. Thanks for the input.

Gamechanger cost a few dollars for people to follow, but I like it a lot better than iScore.

We use Game Changer and have been happy with it. Never used iScore, so I cannot comment on it. You need to be cautious about who is allowed to see what regarding stats. Allowing "all access" to parents can cause problems. You also need to make sure the scorer has a similar scoring philosophy as the coaching staff. We had one parent who was the "Paula Abdul" of scoring and every kids batting average went up 100 points and his DD never made an error.......

Great info. Gamechanger looks like a great free software. Terrific reviews. And it's FREE. My team scorekeeper is a mom and very fair. Is that typical to share stats with all the parents? In the past I've only provided basic (manually computed) data about only their DD. thanks again. Not sure you all realize how much we "non-posters" appreciate what each of you do. The advice is very detailed, very thought out, and very supportive!

It's free, but if a "fan" wants to watch the live updates it is $7.99 per month for them...That said if someone can't make the game or grandparents want to see what is going on...the $7.99 is well worth it...it is not reoccuring so if someone is gone for a big weekend tourney they could just pay the $7.99 for that month, then not re-up it.
There are 100s of teams on there...my wife has her old alma mater going on the iPad for most of the there games. We have even kept up on other teams in the tourneys we are in during the breaks

I tried iScore first...and maybe it's changed or updated, but I got so frustrated after a couple games, it was so hard to go back and fix mistakes you made that I just dumped it.

I think we paid a $120 team fee and everyone had "access" for the entire season. You need to be aware of the administrative settings that control who has access to what information.

I understand. It is possible that anyone anywhere could get your teams stats.

Also, if you have drama mamas on your team, it may be for the best that the parents don't see the stats or how certain plays were scored.

Thx... are I can roll w/ that...

The issues I have, is that If these are ASA sanctioned games, they are being logged on their server, and none of us know who "they" are... Could they be made available to your competition? I'm guessing they say they aren't, but...?

EP:

Think we were writing at same time...thx. What I'm getting at is: say I want to get on here and really strrrrrrretch the truth about my DD's games... I wouldn't want some of my dear friends on here to be able to catch me... Also, as a parent, I would like to see any documentation concerning DD, that is kept on ASA records, or used in building her profile.

I really don't have any problem with anyone that I can reach out and touch... on the team reading the stats... they can read them and weep...
