    Hooray for Outdoor Practices!

    Our first outdoor practice of the season is Saturday regardless of temperature. We've been indoors since Mid-October. I don't know who has cabin fever worse, me or the team. Any suggestions for making the transition smooth and enjoyable for everyone.

    Just held our Quarter Auction last night. Just in donated items, food sales and a 50/50 the team walked away with $1300 profit and some very very sleepy 13 year olds. All in all a good night.

    12U Gloves

    12-13" is average, I would find what is most comfortable for her in that range and stick with that. But also grab a 12" ball at the store and throw it to her in the store a few times and make sure she likes the feel of the glove overall.

    How do Softball players stack up in other sports?

    From personal experience, the girls on my team who are the most athletic are the girls who play two sports. I have 2- two sport athletes on my team, both girls play soccer. They are very agile and quick to move to the ball.

    I must have told her 10 times this was not the time nor the place for this convo, she kept going on and on and on then started yelling at me. That's what finally got me to my breaking point.

    Scorekeeping

    We are doing both and ipad ap and paper and pencil this year. We want to see what we like best and then next season stick to one or the other. The thing I like about the iPad app is that it automatically calculates your stats which will save me a crap ton of time.

    CF5 2012 vs. 2013 Any differences?

    A lot of girls arond here feel like the 2013 has more of an end load. Many of them are trying to eat up any 2012's they can find with the new USSSA stamp on it because they dont want to have to move to the 2013.

    2010 F-150 crew cab. Seating for 6, cap on the back for team equip and DD's equip, we get about 18mpg hwy.
