That's an interesting way of looking at it. I guess in a way "front legged" would be accurate. She continues to shift her upper body after launch which has an impact on her barrel path. Quieting that movement will improve her barrel path, IMO.

I guess since she gets into a leveraged fyb hitting position (not compromising the rear leg/hip) I don't see it... I see it more as her intent is slightly out of control from a bat body stand point during the whip. This is why I wanted to see some front toss swings to see how things played out.

I like her intent but agree it may be a little out of control. I also agree that front toss swings are preferable for review. In my experience at least 80% of amateur hitters have significant differences between tee swings and live swings.

Bit of a frustrating session yesterday, my fault, telling her too many things at once, info overload. I think you can see confusion leaking into the swing. Original video most people agree that she had decent sequence up until heal plant and little bit after. Now she's thinking about staying in her swing, not popping up that she's forcing her head to stay low which is obviously causing severe head movement.. looks kind of painful to me, :). She's thinking about it the wrong way, forcing herself to stay in her legs more from the top down.. go figure.

One funny thing, found my DD works better with visuals. I put a bat by her back foot and told her not to skip her foot past the barrel.. and she stopped skipping, may of wrecked everything else, ...buy hey :)

I think your doing great, I don't know if your like me, but my daughter doesn't take lessons from a instructor. I am the instructor LOL. It can get frustrating. You try to fix one thing which causes another things to break down. So its a ever revolving deconstruct and rebuild. i will say without the people here no matter their theory or take has been a big help. Keep at it.

Your doing a good job. I see some better patterns already in this last swing.

Keep running movement patterns then a few swings and going back and forth. Even when she thinks she owns it...and its silly!

Consider... having her "roll the front shoulder in and down" ...trying to keep it connected to the rib cage/thorax from stance thru the swing. Stabilizing it enough that if you pulled her front shoulder rearward...her breast bone/thorax would want turn too. With my girls..I don't want the shoulders going up and down (think shrug...disconnect) separate from the torso while learning mechanics. This can help ease the head/neck position.

I would suggest doing some high swings too with things your working on...less tilt...higher hand set on ttb ect. Should help her keep that head up...while feeling the same patterns.

We all put them thru information overload at times...definitely have to keep it to 1 or 2 key points during a session to keep frustrations down.

Keep up the good work.

Appreciate the comments Bobby. The shoulders going up and down are likely due to a misteach by me.. yes I made another blunder. I gave her a cue "back shoulder replaces front shoulder".. I heard it mentioned before and thought this would held her get behind and through the ball. Because of this, maybe the front shoulder juts upward and rear works hard under which causes her head to rise and go sideways like this?

I think a lot of the problems is the front foot at heel plant. To me she is not dropping her heel, she is spinning her heel, which is causing her front leg to not have enough flexion during weight shift. Basically because of the turning of the foot to get to heel plant she posting up really fast and hard.
