I have an old Kodak Zi8. Fits in my pocket, does 60fps, and has a display that is big enough to view and break down frame by frame during a lesson or even between innings.

Ya'll know what I mean... I'll do a better job of getting my thumb forward... once it thaws. ;)

I was referring to this spin, JJ. As you can see, this one comes in to the right of the camera, but is beyond 45, too.

My question is regarding movement.... on a tilted 12-6. The degree of yaw is important... I understand that. All I'm asking is will a 12-6 tilted inward (somewhere between 0-90 degrees of yaw), break in?

Nope......as long as the AXIS is horizontal to the ground, like this one AND YOURS, it will only drop. More or less depending seam orientation.

This pitch is optimum rotation for an I/R fastball.....That's all it was meant to be. No one ever claimed this pitch would cut or beak inward...

And yes, your rotation is almost spot on with mine in the demo.......my camera (phone) is more left of center because it's not my phone.;)

Sorry i completely forgot about this thread and getting some film of the in shooting drop. I'll see if I can get out back soon.

Bottom line is if you take your pitch and get the left side of the ball tilted down and the right side of the ball tilted up (from the pitchers view), it will drop and work in......

What I said was your thumb has to be left of top dead center at release to accomplish that tilted axis.....
