Well, the good side of it, with those bats... you definitely kept the receipt, so you can provide proof of purchase. That will go a long ways when filing your claim I imagine. You will have to pay your deductible, probably $500 given todays insurance policy make-ups.... but, still, that isn't bad considering you have about $1500- $2000 in replacement costs of that gear.

It might have to go under your homeowners unfortunately, and that becomes a much dicier claim... for some reason, I heard it's not worth claiming on your homeowners unless its over $3,000 ... i'm sure someone on this board is an insurance rep and can help set the record straight....

Sorry for the loss. Hard not to be angry.

I've got several baseball bats for your son if you want one. I don't have any 28" as my DD was using a 29" from the start. That being said I have a 29/16 Easton, what was basically the precursor to the speed series bats. I also have a 29/19.5 Louisville hybrid big barrel. If you want one just PM me and it'll be on its way. They're not the latest and greatest, but they work. :)

I followed through and sent a glove, yesterday. Now, I am paranoid about my equipment disappearing from my truck. Last night, I drug my bag around to 2 diamonds and I didn't even need it. :)

Call your local police or Sheriff’s department you will need a report to cover your loss and to turn over to insurance. In the report describe each item missing, brand, color, any identifying marks and cost of the item. You never know if the items are recovered by law enforcement the report may help you get the items back. Pawn shops, trade days, yard sales or the internet are places thieves sell this type merchandise, if you locate the items call law enforcement, it will help if you have a copy of the police report describing the missing items.

Put names, address and phone number on items such as these, thieves are less likely to steal something that can be traced back to the original owner.

Good luck and hope you are able to get the items back.
