I think this rule will vary per league and division.. as well as local rules... for us the pitcher can only assume the mound 3 times in a game but that "I believe" is a local rule not an ASA rule..and the assumption of the mound doesnt count towards defensive conference with pitcher unless it happens in middle of inning
