Is the kid a problem or just the parents? What kind of problems did you have with these parents pertaining to the older daughter?

Parents did not agree with my method of disciplining oldest daughter; thought my coaching hindered her recruitment by a D1 school; had encouraged oldest daughter to play for another school as well.

I guess HS is played in the fall where you live. Anyway, if the parents had a serious problem with you my guess is that they would not let their dd try out for you at all. If she comes to the tryout and her ability is good enough to make the team then I say take her.

Is this player even eligible to play this year if they transferred twice during their HS career? In PA you have to sit out a year if you transfer from one public school to another. Are these public or private schools?

Why are you dealing with the parents at all? They aren't on the team, are they? It's a high school team, isn't it? Isn't a high school player old enough for you to have a conversation with?

If you can't deal with the player, then cut her. If she's coachable, keep her. The parents should have absolutely nothing to do with the equation whatsoever.
