I have a player who sets up with a really wide stance because she feels comfortable in it and her hitting coach prefers his hitters to hit this way. I can't post a video, but if you're interested in giving it a look, PM me. Thanks!

I would like to hear some opinions on this as well. I have a coach who widened a girls stance so she could hit the low pitches without it being a golf swing.
I know that some use a wide stance VERY effectively, but I think it makes it more difficult to correctly engage the lower half. Especially for younger hitters.

Sometimes if the stance is too wide, you don't get a good weight shift. It will go forward then come back.
