My daily driver is 2000 vw bug, my dd drives a 2009 vw bug. Our summer cars are 1995 mustang gt convertible and a 1982 s-10 with a mild built 350 v8. The s-10 was orginal built to do a little drag racing, but is on hold until dd goes to college.

We have 3 cars. One is a Prius which we take if it's just DD an myself, a Honda Pilot which is great for trips as DS can sit in different row than often cranky DD and a Toyota Tundra Crew Cab Max with a bed cover which is great for trips but gets awful MPG but used to use to tow our camper before we stopped camping to play SB.

F250 Super Duty Crew Cab King Ranch with locking bed cover. (BTW, plenty of room for the OP)
Navigator
V70 wagon (work car)

Can't imagine down sizing until DD flys the coop. We tried a few months ago and just couldn't pull it off. We travel heavy!

I drive a leaky, smelly, dirty (in the back seat anyway) 2004 Ford Expedition. 130,000 miles. I will drive it until the wheels fall off. The only thing I really wish I had is a back-up camera (could have saved myself a few minor dings).

We have a Suburban and pull a 27' travel trailer with it. It's awesome for all of the ball stuff and the 3 kiddos. Chevy produced a 3/4 ton Suburban up until a year or two ago. I'd say find a used one of those and it should be able to handle your towing needs.

Ha! I drive a 2002 Suburban with 270K miles on it. And I only drive it to the bus park-n-ride and back. For trips, DD & I usually go solo (cheaper) in her 2009 Altima. DH drives 2015 Ford Taurus...he tries to keep the kids out of it. LOL!
