Too Cold To Practice?

I am coaching a middle school team for the first time this year. Friday looks like it will be dry but the forecast high temperature is 49 degrees.

When is it too cold to practice? I assume we'd play at 49 (my travel team has played in conditions 10 degrees or more colder), but practice might be a different animal. I have the option of using the gym, but I am getting really tired of being in there!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on what minimum practice temperature would be acceptable.

Get outside. Last season we had exactly one day on the dirt before games started and it showed: took us 3 or 4 games to find our mojo. Looks like this season might be the same.

Our coach really hasnt said yet where were practicing. Its supposed to be overcast and in the low 50's today. I'm thinking were practicing inside today since our field is a mess from our game yesterday.

might want to do BP first while bats and balls are still warm (hopefully) from being inside. otherwise bumble bees take over the bats!
