Was happy to see a Telluride Association Summer Program (TASP) invitation buried in dd's email trash. According to the email, DD received the invitation because: "As one of the top PSAT/NMSQT scorers in your area, you were identified as a promising candidate for TASP."
PSAT scores aren't released to students until January 7, but apparently they have already been sent to Telluride (irks me a little, but not too much). I'm hopeful that the email invite means that she scored very well on the PSAT she took in October. According to a thread on a different website, Telluride invitations are only extended to the top 1% of PSAT scorers. We will know for sure on January 7.
TASP sounds like a fantastic opportunity. 6 weeks at either Cornell or Michigan, free of charge. But it would mean missing the bulk of her summer travel ball schedule. Anyone here have to make that decision, and if so, what did you decide?
