She faces average(not pgf type pitchers) 14/16 ages. Some movement and approx. 50+ speed. Has better luck with faster pitchers.

Everything that you are describing seems to point to a timing issue. I'll bet she is also a dead-pull hitter. I wonder what others would say about having her work the outer half of the plate, learning to drive those balls hard to the opposite field rather than wrapping the bat around them and grounding weakly to the pull side?

I think you are right. Do you know of any specific drills for this problem?

I will wait for others to weigh in, but I would think a steady diet of front-toss with balls on the outer third of the plate, and have her try to drive it over the second basemans's head, would be a start.
