Really great to see young ones understand defense

Two plays from my little 8U team just made me so happy: 1, the other team hits a shot to left field, we have 3 OF only. MY LF (and DD) sprints after it, fires a strike to our SS who ran out to get the cut, who then relays it to third to hold the opposing team to a triple. Sure, she scored eventually, but so cool to see. Then, there's a popup to my SS, who tries to get it but just ins't quite there. Our LF, CF, 3B and her all converged on the ball, yielded to the closest fielder, who threw a strike to second to hold another runner. Sometimes thing just start making sense to the young ones, all the lessons and directions finally pay off.
