Proud parent in the house

Im so happy i can post in the shameless parent bragging forum.

DD is a college freshman. She's battling some pretty good older players for a starting position. Well....

She got her first official at bat last week. A pinch hit. First pitch, line drive to the fence for a 2 rbi double. It was an awesome shot.

This weekend she got her second pinch hit...home run!

Next game she was the DP. Multiple hits, multiple RBI's.

Sat a game.

Then started two straight games with multiple hits and multiple outs on defense.

I'm so proud of her right now i could burst!

Sounds like those older players are hearing footsteps right about now. Great start for the season.

If it's been said once it's been said a hundred times but only because it's true...if you can hit the coach will find a way to put you in the line up. There is just nothing a coach wants more (unless they can find an ace pitcher that will strike out 10-15 a game) than someone who can hit the ball consistently.
