Had a two day this weekend - DD has been in kind of in a hitting slump for the last two tourneys. Had a couple of hits in her last one - including a good double but has been popping up a lot lately. She only had 1 hit on Saturday even though she did get on a base a few other times. On the way home the first day she said she wasn't sure what was happening and she was trying to fix it. Her coach even moved her from lead-off to 3rd in the first two bracket games.
Sunday morning - 8am game - back in lead-off. Hit one that I really thought was going to go out - it did hit the fence and she got a double. Then her next at-bat, first pitch - another double that scored 2 runs. Sadly we ended up losing so we were out but I'm proud of DD for making adjustments.
We were playing on turf and all of her slides this weekend were kind of odd. I'm not sure why she slid into 2nd on the first hit
