Pretty standard expectations for higher level teams. Highest level teams are doing it anyway.

Big difference between expectation and mandatory. I agree it's expected.

Our team has strong suggestions and expectations for the players to put in the work during the week. Most do, some probably don't. Since we have only been playing friendlies coaches generally bat everybody. We are playing tourney at end of the month. I think there will be some eye opening and disappointment when coach bats 9. Five on the pine.
