My DD, 10, is on a performing jumprope team that starts their shows Dec 11th, and they will continue performing till the end of February. (they do halftime shows at college and high school basketball games) Talk about an outlet for all her energy!!!!
I put up a net in the backyard for her to pitch balls into whenever she wants. But that's her call...

DD is a '95 pitcher and until last year worked out year round. Last year she dislocated an ankle and had 2 months off (Dec/Jan in a wheelchair). When she was back in the circle in mid Feb, it took her 2 weeks of daily practice and she was better, stronger, faster.

This year she is playing Highschool Basketball which will keep her in physical condition. This weekend she has final tryouts for the 2001 spring season (she is on the final list for 18Gold team and already accepted for the 16U team if Gold doesn't pan out), after that she will not pick up a softball until mid January.
