I haven't posted any video of Noaah hitting in a few years. No real reason just haven't been videoing her as much as I did in the first few years.
Anywho, we were at hitting lessons last night so I took a couple videos with the intentions of sharing one on facebook. Killing time this morning I figured I would share a few swings to hear what some of our hitting gurus thought.

There is a lot going right. I would like to use her lower half better. She looks to spinning. She needs to drive with the lower half. I would have her do the happy Gilmore drill. She would get feeling of driving with the lower half. She looks really athletic and strong.

Thanks. I will try to get a more complete video of her swing next time.
I do worry about her swing having too much spin and not enough drive in it. Especially, when I see so much weight still on the back foot.
Can you explain to me about the Happy Gilmore drill. I have an image in my head!
She is a fairly successful hitter, just under.400. Very rare for her to strike out, but she walk a lot, too much really. I wish she was a lil more aggressive at the plate, but rarely swings at a bad pitch.
She is strong an athletic. More so than ever before in years past. lack of speed has been what hurt her batting average in the past. She did a lot of agility work this winter. as well as core/leg work. She is moving better and faster than ever before. Plus she shed about 10 pounds while growing a couple inches. We're excited to see what she can do this spring/summer.

I agree with this. With no lower body beginning she ends up pulling the knob of the bat too far and releases out front. That is why the bat flips out over top her shoulder. It looks like she hits her self in the back.

Nice looking swing. How old is she? Looks like the stance may be a little wide causing her to hang back at times and making it hard to get the legs more involved, but then again it's hard to tell in such a quick sequence.
