New to the site have some problems with my daughters back

Hi everyone. I have two girls who play on the same team. We are heading into 2nd year of 12u. Summer 2019 we won states, qualified for nationals and had to travel from Rhode Island to Maine to lose with my oldest on the mound. When this whole covid thing started stupid me had her pitching in my crushed stone driveway. She’s had back problems since and just hasn’t looked right on the mound. She’s going for an mri Thursday allready met with a sports doc/musculoskeletal specialist. I pray it’s not a pars fracture. In addition to that we’ve been trying to turn her into an ir pitcher and get rid of hello elbow. Fun fun

It seems my DD has pitched on everything so I would not be quick to blame yourself, at least until the doctor gives you thier advice. Depending what they say maybe you can blame yourself.

DD had a broken toe, she kept playing until we could see her doctor. I'm honestly did not know how bad it was, her leg was black and blue up to her knee.

Doctor asked DD to go out to waiting room so they could yell at DW and me.

You won’t know the extent of the injury until the doc tells you. So don’t beat yourself up too much until you know.

My dd had back trouble 11th and 12th grade. Some adjustments by a chiropractor, some physio tape and exercises helped. We also changed her stride from fairly high to medium high, reducing the amount of force to her pelvis when she landed. Overall it must have helped because at 19 and 20 her back didn’t bother her.

Many blessings to your daughter. I'm glad you chose to investigate. Most just shrug it off. Pars fractures are very real Ive seen too many.

Thought for sure my 14yo had a pars fracture. Worked with a sports chiropractor who was also very concerned. Saw sports med who was not concerned sent us to sports PT and bam...better. not sure what PT did that chiro didn't. Good luck
