For those in NJ and many in the NE you knew of or heard of Coach Anthony LaRezza. Long time coach of Immaculate Heart Academy and the NJ Pride club. Coach LaRezza lost his battle with cancer today and we are all at a loss. He coached DD last summer and occasionally the two years prior. He was a good guy and coach. I never saw so many kids want to go the extra mile than for Coach LaRezza.
RIP Anthony LaRezza.

To know Anthony was to love Anthony. He was a true class act who made every softball player feel special, whether they played for him or not. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who had a bad thing to say about him. He will be sorely missed.

Sorry to hear the news for those of you who knew him. Always sad to hear the passing of what sounds like a great man who left too soon. Prayers to his family and everyone who knew him.

Everybody here feels this loss. Whether you played for him, coached against him or just knew him in passing he commanded respect and friendship. The kind of coach that would congratulate your players outside of the normal hi five line. A shout out to a team on Twitter even if it was lopsided. He elevated his players to reach for the stars. After graduating 7 seniors he took a team made up of underclassmen and won the state championship. He was a big fan of the squeeze and ground out many 1 run games off that play. I'm lucky to have known him and DD to have played a full year for him.

Thanks Anthony....
