Not sure I understand. We all have dds who play all summer long in the heat, and with travel ball tournaments sometimes they play 4 or 5 games a day. But it's too hot for college players to play one game? And many of those games could be scheduled at night. Just seems to be a strange argument given that baseball and softball are summer sports and always have been.
It's too cold for college players to play 1 game? We have all played this early season weather and all of our dd's should be used to it. The same reason you give for summer play legitimacy can be used for the early season. (Except for the night games)
The heat in the south is much different than what some think it is. Northern players may have trouble adjusting to it.. I am suggesting that just a few games down south and the conversation will be on the table again. You are not going to please everyone and some prefer the cold to the heat.
