Anybody play this weekend?
Mine played in her first tournament since the world series in July. Our own team doesn't play so we picked up & played. Her hitting was back finally. She didn't strike out much, had some pretty solid hits. Nothing newsworthy but she wasn't much hitting at all 6 weeks ago. She got a good bit of pitching in against some great teams. But one of her old teammates hit a grand slam off her. I had to smile because the hitter's a super sweet kid and struggled a lot with hitting in the fall. There were no errors, she just slammed it to the fence. So I guess my main brag is on someone else's kid
We played our old fall team. They were already good, but they got rid of the coach who was the reason we left, upgraded the coaching staff, and added several new players who are beasts. They kicked the crap out of everybody. We played them in bracket of course, went right on home after that (22 to 2 I believe, ouch). They're going to be something to see this year. 06 Atl Vipers.
