Happy 4th! How did everyone's weekends go?
My DD pitched a full game against the 05 Impact Friday night. They only got us 4-2. The other games against them have been more like 13-0. I was very proud of her, and her defense which did a great job backing her up.
We should have done better in this tournament - we were up 5-1 in our 3rd bracket game (1 win, 1 loss, double elimination) and we let them come back. Our pitcher was exhausted, it was like 100 degrees out (literally), and they came back and passed us. By the time the coach swapped out pitchers it was too late. I felt guilty about my knee-jerk reaction to the loss, which was, "THANK GOODNESS! It's air conditioning time!"
