Intro-level (but "real") bat for 7/8 YO?

So we're currently at ~52-54" (4 1/4 - 4 1/2') H, 65-68 lbs.

This past season, she used a friends bat that she said was only slightly too long for her, but was fine weight-wise. I just checked on the other bat - it's an Easton (unknown model), 29/18.

And she did seem to hit fine with it (coach pitch - but I don't lob them). So maybe I should stick with -11, or -10 and go down to a 28"?

Considering her size I think a 28/17 would fit her well. My DD is around the same height but she has about 15# on your DD and she is just now transitioning to a 29/18.
